We Can Help You Love The Dentist!

It’s no secret: the dentist can be a frightening place! All those sounds, sights, and the unpleasant notion of having a stranger stick their hands in your mouth isn’t pleasant! That’s why we’ve developed our “retrain your brain” system! At New Albany Implants we’re confident we can help you feel better about, if not downright enjoy, your visits to our dentist office!

The secret lies in our complete package of anxiety, fear, and phobia relief. We’ve been working for a long time to create the perfect system for treating all our patients no matter how nervous they are! We’re sure we can find the perfect solution to help you “retrain your brain” to be okay with your dental care!

Why Is Comfort So Important To Us?

Dr. Ron Receveur, DDS, spent a lot of time in the dental chair as a child. Growing up he had to wear a partial denture due to missing a tooth. He was born with a cleft palate and suffered for years through unpleasant dental care, uncomfortable procedures, and results he wasn’t happy with.

When we started our dental practice in New Albany Dr. Receveur’s personal story was at the core of our desires for patient treatment. We never want one of our visitors to feel uncomfortable, unhappy, or scared in our dental chairs! Creating the perfect environment and ensuring great care are what we based our entire practice on!

How To Retrain Your Brain

What has you scared of the dentist? Is it a bad experience in the past? Did you have an unpleasant dentist, bad results, or a painful procedure? These kinds of negative appointments can have a lasting effect on your ability to go to the dentist without fear.

Retraining your brain involves helping you to realize that there isn’t anything to fear at our New Albany dentist office. From the moment you walk in the door we’re working hard to provide you with a good patient experience. One of the biggest ways we’ve found to give patients a good visit is to treat them like friends and like people! No one wants to go to the dentist and feel like they’re just another number, which is something we try hard to prevent!

We also offer a variety of patient amenities for those who simply want to feel comfortable with their care. From blankets and neck pillows to TVs mounted on the ceilings of our operatory rooms we’ll do whatever it takes to make you feel at ease!

For Those Who Are Too Scared To Relax

Sometimes all the great staff, amenities, and wonderful treatment isn’t enough to make you feel better. If you’re simply terrified of your dental care we have a solution for you: sedation dentistry! We offer multiple levels of sedation that can help you relax and feel at ease. Maybe sedation is exactly what you need to retrain your brain!

Our most basic level of sedation is nitrous oxide, or laughing gas. This will make you feel relaxed, calm, and comfortable without making you too groggy or tired. It only lasts for as long as you’re taking the gas so you’ll be alert and ready to leave as soon as your appointment is over!

We also offer two higher level sedation techniques: IV sedation and general anesthesia. If you’re too scared to stay awake during your procedure, or if you’re having a lot of work done, we can simply put you into a “twilight” state or help you fall completely asleep!

IV sedation is similar to the sedation you get at the hospital for a short procedure. You won’t be completely asleep but you’ll definitely be out of it! IV sedation leaves you able to respond to us but you won’t remember your procedure at all.

General anesthesia puts you “under” completely. You’ll be fully asleep and unaware of your dental work, which is ideal for patients who need a lot of work in one visit! We can closely monitor your vital signs to be sure you stay comfortably asleep and safe all while getting all your work out of the way in one visit!
