New Albany Dental Office Can Transform Your Smile With Veneers

February 3, 2015

There are a number of reasons your teeth begin to look worn down: age, exposure to acidic foods and drinks, or even tooth grinding.

For this scenario let’s imagine that you had a bad experience with braces that left your teeth looking thin and discolored. This is a common complaint, and it’s likely your enamel was damaged during your treatment, causing your teeth to look very worn. This is unfortunate because while your enamel is the hardest substance in your body, once it’s damage, it cannot be repaired.

Poor enamel not only weakens your tooth but also discolors your teeth. Both of these issues can damage your smile and self-esteem. Teeth with weakened enamel often chip, crack or even break.

At New Albany Implants, Dr. Receveur can fully restore your mouth and give you the smile of your dreams in just one to two visits. Dr. Receveur has been placing porcelain veneers for more than 25 years and is skilled in all forms of cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Receveur’s porcelain are natural-looking and actually strengthen weakened teeth.

Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are bonded to your tooth once a portion of the enamel is removed – about a millimeter. Dr. Receveur can place your permanent veneers in just two visits. During your first visit, we will take molds of your teeth and then remove a portion of your enamel to fit the veneer. Once about a millimeter of your enamel is removed, we place a temporary veneer that you will wear until your permanent veneer is designed and created.

Benefits of Veneers
Once we place your permanent veneer or veneers, you’ll notice a difference right away. Our veneers can close gaps between your teeth; can change the shape of your tooth; hide chips and cracks and cover deep staining. Porcelain veneers are durable; do not stain overtime; and are unbelievably lifelike. In fact, you’ll probably have people stop you on the street and ask about your beautiful teeth.

Now, as great as porcelain veneers can be, there are a few things to consider. First of all, veneers typically are much more costly than teeth-whitening treatments. Secondly, it’s important to find the right dentist to place your veneers. We see patients all the time who walk through the door with poorly designed or poorly placed porcelain veneers. That’s unfortunate, because a bad set of veneers can sometimes make the patient feel even worse about their smile – or it gives them a sour view of cosmetic dentistry.

At New Albany Implants, Dr. Receveur works with every patient to give them the smile they have always wanted. Not only is Dr. Receveur an incredible communicator, but he has trained under some of the best cosmetic dentists in the world. He has been a dentist for more than 30 years, and still, he completes about 200 hours of continuing education every year – even though Indiana only requires dentists to complete 16 hours.

It’s that type of dedication that allows Dr. Receveur to place veneers that are works of art. If you’re unhappy with your teeth, call us today and schedule a consultation with Dr. Receveur.

P.S. While veneers cover cosmetic dental issues, they are not impervious to tooth decay, so it’s important to practice good oral hygiene and not miss your checkups with New Albany Implants.

I’m the type of person that is scared of the dentist have been my whole life. I scheduled consultation with Dr Ron and he answered all my questions and more. He and his staff are great they made me feel comfortable the whole time. They used sedation for my implant procedure and it was the best decision I have ever made!! I had zero pain whatsoever. The best thing is that they have gave me the ability to smile again and to be happy. Thank you to everyone at New Albany Implants. I recommend them to anyone needing dental implants.

Amazing experience. If anyone is anxious about seeing a dentist I can assure you don’t have to be with Dr. Receveur. My only regret is not having it done sooner. His staff is pretty awesome too.
