Making Peace With Your Dental Care

Dentists: if you ask Steve Martin’s character in Little Shop Of Horrors we’re all a bunch of crazies who love inflicting pain. You may not have seen him sing about torturing patients but you’re probably familiar with that reputation! For years tales of painful appointments in stark white clinical spaces persisted, making it seem like we really were a bunch of psychos!

None of that is true, of course, and our New Albany dentist office has a team that works hard to undo the years of bad reputation that have built up around our chosen profession. No one wants to go to the dentist for a routine appointment or a pain-relieving procedure only to suffer more!

Practicing Dental Care Differently

It’s easy to slip into a mindset of treating patients and making money, but that’s not why we do our jobs! At New Albany Implants we practice a “retrain your brain” philosophy that aims to undo every expectation you have about your dental care! Our goal is to make your visit not just good, but actually enjoyable!

Our staff are all hired and trained with one ultimate goal in mind: great care that includes great patient experiences. We don’t want anyone to leave our office unhappy with their dental or personal treatment, so we’ve built an entire system around providing patient satisfaction!

Retrain Your Brain – How?

For many patients dental anxiety started at a young age. Maybe it was a painful procedure, an unpleasant interaction, or a grump of a dentist that caused you to have a fear of dental care, but that’s not what you’ll get at New Albany Implants!

Anxiety and fear can be your worst enemy when it comes to a good experience. Even if everything else is great you might focus in on one bad thing and then your fears are justified! You may not realize it but dental care has come a long way over the years. Patient comfort has become a central focus in every aspect of dental care, especially at our New Albany dental practice!

Our goal in retraining your brain is to take those anxieties and fears and help you realize that you don’t need to have them! We’ve created a comfortable, welcoming environment that will help you feel relaxed from the moment you come it. Once you sit down in the dental chair you’ll be able to enjoy ceiling-mounted televisions, music, blankets, a neck pillow, and anything else we can do to make your experience better!

Still Scared?

Some patients suffer from extreme anxiety. We understand that it can be difficult, even nearly impossible, to eliminate everyone’s anxiety with great staff, amenities, and a comfortable office environment. That’s why we offer various levels of dental sedation designed to address each patient’s individual needs.

Nitrous oxide can give you a nice, mellow experience that will still leave you alert and able to respond. You’ll just feel comfortable and relaxed, making your visit go by fast and easily! Nitrous oxide also wears off quickly, leaving you completely level-headed and alert by the end of your appointment!

We also offer IV sedation and general anesthesia, which you’ll have a hard time finding in other places! These high levels of sedation are great for patients who are absolutely terrified or those undergoing a longer procedure. You can simply fall asleep and wake up when it’s over!

We Want To Make Your Appointment Great!

No matter what you need to help you realize that dental care doesn’t need to be painful or fear-inducing we want to provide it. We don’t want you to think you’re coming to the dentist when you visit us – we want you to think you’re seeing someone who’s going to do whatever it takes to help you feel better and look your best!
