What Don’t You Like About Your Dentures?

December 18, 2015

New Albany Implants sees a lot of patients who wear dentures. Many of those come to us at their wit’s end: they’re sick of wearing dentures that don’t fit, slip, or are just plain uncomfortable. They, like you, want something better than dentures.

Treating those kinds of patients is what we specialize in at our New Albany dentist office. Depending on what you dislike about your dentures we can offer a number of alternatives. We’re confident that we have treatments to help you live more comfortably and happily at New Albany Implants!

Do Your Dentures Slip And Fall?

One of the most common complaints we hear from our denture-wearing patients is that they can’t keep their dentures in place. They slip and fall even when not trying to eat – talking or simply going about their days causes problems sometimes.

When that happens there are several things we can do. It’s a fact that your bone structure changes over time, leading to bone loss that makes your dentures looser. The most basic thing we can do is adjust your dentures. If you’re looking for a better alternative we have that as well.

We can use a series of dental implants to give your dentures support they’ve never had before. With just four dental implants and some modifications to your dentures we can create an implant retention system that allows you to snap your dentures in place. They’ll stay put until YOU are ready for them to move!

Are Your Gums Irritated?

Soft tissue like your gums was never meant to bear all the forces of chewing food. We often see patients that have complaints of gum pain, inflammation, and redness due to the heavy forces of chewing. Combined with the bacteria that lives in your mouth this can go beyond simple discomfort: it can even become an infection!

Many of the patients who are sick of gum irritation are just plain sick of wearing dentures too. Luckily you’ve come to the right place! We can use the One Day Smile Solution to give you a new set of permanent, fixed-in-place teeth that allow you to ditch your dentures for good!

The One Day Smile Solution involves the placement of four dental implants that a full mouth bridge is screwed on to. The bridge is permanent, cared for just like natural teeth, and you actually get it the same day as your surgery. Imagine coming in to our office today and leaving with a full permanent set of teeth: it would be fantastic, wouldn’t it?

Tired Of Partial Dentures?

If some of your teeth are missing but you still have plenty of healthy ones left you might be wondering what you can do to get rid of those pesky dentures. Partials don’t often feel any more comfortable than full dentures and can be just as difficult to put up with over time.

We have relief in the form of dental implants for partial denture wearers as well. Dental implants can replace a single tooth all the way up to partial bridges and full mouth solutions. Implants are titanium screws that act just like the root of a natural tooth, so it’s easy to place a single one for a single missing tooth or several to replace a few. With dental implants you truly have options!

Dentures Are Obsolete: Implants Are The Future!

As dental care continues to evolve dentures are becoming less and less preferred as a tooth replacement method. Prior to a few decades ago dental implants were incredibly expensive and dentists who could place them were few and far between. We’re glad to have put that time behind us at New Albany Implants.

Dental implants can truly take your quality of life to a place it hasn’t been in a long time. Patients who get dental implants at our New Albany office are amazed at the transformation that takes places in just weeks after their surgery. They’re more confident, have more energy, are more social, and the world feels alive like it hasn’t in years.

For many patients dentures are like a prison. Wearing them makes them feel old, unhealthy, and in their twilight years. Just a few dental implants can take all that away, and our experiences tell us that we can do the same for you!

I’m the type of person that is scared of the dentist have been my whole life. I scheduled consultation with Dr Ron and he answered all my questions and more. He and his staff are great they made me feel comfortable the whole time. They used sedation for my implant procedure and it was the best decision I have ever made!! I had zero pain whatsoever. The best thing is that they have gave me the ability to smile again and to be happy. Thank you to everyone at New Albany Implants. I recommend them to anyone needing dental implants.

Amazing experience. If anyone is anxious about seeing a dentist I can assure you don’t have to be with Dr. Receveur. My only regret is not having it done sooner. His staff is pretty awesome too.

I recently had implants put in by Dr. Receveur. I was scheduled to have sedation that morning, but wasn't able to due to my sugar issues from diabetes. He assured me he would keep me comfortable so I agreed to go ahead with the procedure. He did just that, he kept me comfortable as promised and I didn't feel a thing. During the procedure he also talked to me the whole time explaining what he was doing, which also helped ease my anxiety. The entire staff there are so nice and informative, they can answer any questions you may have. All I can say is to anyone that is hesitant to have this procedure done, I honestly wish I would have had this done a long time ago! Dr. Receveur and his staff are AMAZING, and I would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!
