A few years ago, a nice lady named Merlinna who came to my New Albany dental practice looking to get rid of her old, uncomfortable dentures once and for all. Like so many people who wear dentures, Merlinna had had it with the appliances sliding around in your mouth.
I sat down with Merlinna, like I do with all of my patients, and pinpointed exactly what was going on in her mouth. We discussed on she had lost the vertical height between her nose and chin — caused by years of wearing non-fixed dentures. We also discussed how she could achieve a more youthful smile.
