She Wasn’t Sure About Implants At First
Janet’s first appointment at New Albany Implants was her first dentist appointment in years. When she lost her lower molars and was fitted with a partial denture she stopped seeing her family dentist. It’s easy to fall out of the routine of dental care – we see it a lot!

Janet had always been a bit nervous about the dentist, which is part of the reason she ended up losing some teeth in the first place. She usually only saw the dentist when she had a problem and when she ended up with cavities in two of her molars she waited to get checked for fear of needing a root canal or a large filling. She made a mistake that a lot of people make: assuming the problem wasn’t too bad.
It ended up costing five teeth: three on her left and two on the right. Janet never enjoyed her partial dentures and wanted a solution. She had heard about dental implant treatments but wasn’t sure that she wanted to deal with the pain!
Janet’s First Dental Implant Appointment
When she came to New Albany Implants we took a series of 3D scans and digital X-rays of her mouth that gave us a good understanding of the best treatment for her. We walked her through a full dental implant roadmap, which outlined all her treatment options from start to finish.

By the end of her three month recovery she was eating her favorite foods, laughing and enjoying time with family and showing off her new teeth to the world.
Janet also started coming to our office for regular dental care as well. Once implants are placed they require the same care as regular teeth: regular brushing, flossing, and professional cleanings. Every time we see her she can’t thank us enough for giving her teeth that allow her to live the life she wanted!
