A (Dental) Bridge To A Better Smile

What is the purpose of a bridge?

Bridges are built to help people get from one place to another. Bridges span gaps, and bridges connect people together.

All of those things are true about our zirconium dental bridges at New Albany Implants, too. We’ve seen how our bridges have moved patients from feeling embarrassed to feeling confident about their smiles. We’ve seen dental bridges fill in the empty spaces in patients mouths.

And we know that building bridges has brought our patients and us closer together at our dentist office in New Albany, IN.

Call us at (812) 945-7645 or contact us online if you would like to learn a what our dental bridges can do for you.

Replace Multiple Teeth With A Dental Bridge

In his more than 30 years as a dentist, Dr. Ron Receveur has treated a lot of patients.

He’s treated patients who lost multiple teeth as a result of accidents and collisions. He’s helped patients who had to have multiple teeth removed as a result of oral health issues.

We know from experience how effective a dental implant-supported bridge can be in each of these situations.

A dental bridge is made by fusing multiple dental crowns together.

A traditional bridge needs two crowns more than the number of missing teeth. To attach this kind of bridge, a dentist must reshape two otherwise healthy teeth. These teeth provide the support when the traditional bridge is bonded in place.

With dental implants, we don’t have to do anything to healthy teeth to secure your bridge. Instead we can place dental implants, which replace the roots of missing teeth, in your jaw.

Those implants provide the support for your bridge. This also anchors the bridge in place, which means it is more secure and more stable. That means you can eat with confidence. It also means your smile will look as natural as it ever did.

A Few Words About Zirconium Bridges

Historically, human beings have used a lot of different things to replace missing teeth.

Animal bones, animal teeth, ivory, seashells, and stones are just a few of the many examples we could name. In the 1800s, porcelain started to be used as a teeth replacement material, but it was fragile compared to natural teeth.

With time, stronger ceramic materials were developed. Today, we are proud to offer zirconium bridges for our patients. Zirconium offers several benefits:

➤ Zirconium is strong and more durable than other materials used in teeth replacement.

➤ Zirconium is resistant to wear-and-tear.

➤ Zirconium is a biocompatible material, which means it won’t cause bad reactions in your mouth.

➤ Zirconium looks natural. Most people won’t be able to tell the difference between your real teeth and your zirconium bridge.

➤ Zirconium bridges don’t need a metal base like some other teeth replacement materials. This adds to the natural look of our dental bridges.

In other words, if you want a dental bridge that’s built to last, is unlikely to create new problems, and blends in with the rest of your smile, then our zirconium bridges may be for you.

Why Should You Get Your Dental Bridge From Us?

In addition to Dr. Ron’s more than 30 years of experience, teeth replacement has been a priority at our practice from the beginning. We are called New Albany Implants for a reason.

Both of our dentists, Dr. Ron and Dr. Bradley Frederick, have extensive training in implant placement.

Our entire team also understands how important patient comfort is to a good dental care. It’s our goal for every patient to have a good experience whenever someone visits us.

We offer sedation dentistry, including IV sedation, so even the most anxious patients can complete their treatment while staying relaxed and pain-free. Few dentist offices have completed the necessary training and certification to offer IV sedation. We did because we want to be able to help as many people as possible.

Even if you aren’t anxious, we know that little things can make your visit more pleasant. That’s why we offer the opportunity to watch movies or listen to music while you receive your dental care. We can even provide you with a pillow and blanket to feel a little cozier.
