Retraining Your Brain To Accept Dental Care
You can do this! Go, go, go!
That kind of motivation may work when you are pushing yourself in the gym, but it’s probably not going to help you overcome your dental anxiety.
What could help is retraining your brain with the Dr. Ron Receveur Method™.
If you knew that your dental care could be pain-free, stress-free, and anxiety-free, would it be easier for you to visit the dentist?
That’s what we try to do at New Albany Implants. We want every patient to feel comfortable, relaxed, and calm when they come to our dentist office.
Think Positively About Your Dental Care
We realize thinking positive about something that causes you anxiety is easier said than done.
We also know that we have helped many patients do just that, again, thanks to the Dr. Ron Receveur Method™.
Too many times we have seen a patient’s worry about dental care turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy. We can help you start thinking differently about what dental care can be.
A good start is by looking at the benefits that come with dental care.
You can keep your mouth healthy with routine cleanings and exams.
You can improve the appearance of your smile with cosmetic dentistry.
You can even repair or replace teeth with restorative dentistry.
All of these things are good for your physical and mental health.
Meet Dr. Ron Receveur
We will start by telling you a little bit about our dentist in New Albany, IN, and why patient comfort is so important to him.
Dr. Ron Receveur understands exactly why many people don’t like going to the dentist. As a child, he had a partial cleft palate and a congenitally missing tooth. As a result, he received more dental work than some families will receive in the combined lifetimes.
He carried those experiences with him when he decided to enter dental school. As he learned about new techniques and the benefits of technologies like dental implants, he also wanted to find ways to make dental care as comfortable as possible.
That’s why everything we do at New Albany Implants is done with our patients’ comfort in mind. It’s why Dr. Receveur has undergone the necessary training and certification to be able to offer IV sedation.
He wanted to be able to offer truly pain-free dental care, and that’s exactly what we aim to do each day at our practice.
What You Will Find At Our Office
When you come to New Albany Implants, we want you to notice a few things.
First, you will hear lots of laughter. Our staff likes to have fun, and we hope the enjoyment we have in helping patients is evident to you.
Second, you will be welcomed by one of the friendliest teams of dental professionals you will ever meet. We want to do good work, and we like to smile while we are doing it.
Third, your comfort is a priority for us. Yes, we want your mouth to be as healthy as possible, but we also want you to feel as relaxed as you can while we are helping you.
That’s why we provide coffee and juice for our patients.
It’s why we are happy to share a blanket and pillow so you can feel cozy during your visit. It’s also why we provide headphones if you would like to listen to music instead of the sound of dental equipment. And it’s why we have DVD players if you would prefer to entertain yourself as a distraction while our team handles your dental care.
And as we mentioned earlier, we offer dental sedation for patients who want to be absolutely sure that their visits will be pain-free and worry-free. With options including IV sedation, nitrous oxide, and oral sedation, we can find the right kind of sedation dentistry for you.
Your Dental Care Should Come From People Who Care About You!
We understand that many people avoid dental care because of bad experiences in the past. You may have had a dentist who was critical of your oral health.
At New Albany Implants, you will experience judgment-free dentistry. We will point out areas of concern, not to criticize but because we want to work with you to find a solution.
