There are some things that you just don’t put to chance. Things like checking your car brakes, looking both ways before you cross the road, and making sure you won’t feel a thing during a dental procedure. When asked why they didn’t see a dentist, the majority of people said it was because they are afraid of the pain. At New Albany Implants, we believe it’s our job to ease that worry and remove that fear. We want to remove the obstacles that might keep you from having your teeth repaired.
Other offices will claim to have sedation options, but that usually means nitrous only. But it doesn’t quite cut it for many of our patients. This is why we decided to go a few steps further and become qualified to use IV sedation in our office. IV sedation refers to intravenous sedation.
Patients Determine Need
The nature of serious dental work is unique to the patient. Some patients can handle a lot of discomfort with light sedation, but this is not the case for others. IV sedation takes things to the next level. It allows you to be completely unaware of the procedure while allowing us to get more extensive work done in one sitting. We can even adjust your sedation level while you are in the chair so if you do happen to experience discomfort, we can immediately send you to a deeper relaxation level.
Offering IV sedation in the office is something truly unique. Not many dentists can offer you this level of comfort during a serious procedure without sending you to a different office. This is just one more reason that Dr. Ron and New Albany Implants is a different type of dental office. We put you, the patient, at the top of the list! If you want to know what first priority means, give us a call! We’d be happy to help in whatever way we can!
