Dr. Receveur’s Office Is A No-Fear Zone

Our New Albany dental office frequently sees patients who have avoided the dentist at all costs for years – or even decades. Usually, they steer clear of any dental office because they are afraid of the pain of a possible procedure, or they fear they’ll get a lecture about the state of their oral health.

Look, we understand that some dental fear is not completely unfounded. Years ago, not all dentists worked hard to make their patients comfortable and calm. But things have changed for the better, and dental offices who care about your comfort have adapted with the changes. At New Albany Implants, we use state-of-the-art sedation methods to ensure that you are calm and comfortable during your visits, and we will never judge or lecture a patient about the state of their teeth because we’re here to help.

Types of Sedation And How They Work
Nitrous Oxide – You’ve probably heard nitrous oxide referred to as “laughing gas.” This treatment will not exactly have you giggling through your procedure, but it is an incredible mild form of sedation that will calm your nerves during your treatment. The effects of nitrous wear off quickly, which means you’re free to leave the office on your own.

IV Sedation – This is our highest form of sedation and used on patients who have a severe fear of the dentist. The incredible thing about our IV sedation is that you don’t have to “get over” or “deal with” your fear. With our IV sedation, you’re in such a relaxed state that you don’t have to face the sights and sounds of your procedure. You can also have multiple treatments completed in one visit to cut down on repeat visits.

At New Albany Implants, we care about your comfort but also want to see you keep your teeth for the rest of your life. Call us today and ask about our sedation options.
